Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with Dividers

It's a great idea, but it still needs some work. I like that I can store my ornaments in a way that I can see them from the outside, and I like the way they snap together.What I would like to see is:1) some sort of divider (plastic or cardboard) that actually fits into the slots molded onto the interior sides of the crates. You can fit the cardboard inserts together to create various sizes of compartments in which to store ornaments (anywhere from 2 to 16 in each carton, depending on how many inserts you use and how you put them together), but even though there are slots in which to fit the inserts, the cardboard pieces are too short.2) something with a somewhat sturdier snap-on piece, so you can stack more than just 3 at a time without the whole kit-and-caboodle coming apart.3) (assuming (2) is done) the option of buying the individual crates separate from the lid, so you could purchase as many stacking crates as you wanted or needed, and stack them all up with just the one lid.

I bought this storage box after desperately needing some storage for my ornaments. I didn't want to spend $80+ on an ornament storage box, so this one seemed like a great deal.Here are the pros and cons with this product:Pros:- the boxes are made out of plastic, so anything in there will stay pretty dry even if your garage / attick gets damp.- Pretty cheapCons:- Shipping cost - almost as much as the product itself- The clasps for stacking the boxes together SUCK. Two of them already broke the very first time we used the boxes, and we were really gentle with them.- The carboard dividers are very flimsical. I wasn't expecting much, however I was expecting that they are sliding into slots within the plastic containers. They do NOT - so they move all around , and don't provide much support at all.- Since the plastic clasps seem to break very easily, I have no trust in carrying the box with the handle on top, since I don't want to risk having all my ornaments break from one of the boxes falling out - we'll probably be using a bungy cord to keep the boxes together and only lift them up from the bottom.If you're looking for something durable that will last for years to come, don't buy this product. But, if are storing non-breakable ornaments / decorations in there and are not expecting too much, that one will do.

I've had 3 of these for a few years. They protect well and reduce the space needed to store all those precious Christmas items. No more little individual boxes. The spaces hold those old fashioned large glass balls and the dividers are adjustable so long items fit well. I don't expect to carry heavy items by the handle, I always have one hand under the box when I carry, just in case. I just bought a fourth to hold the kid's ornament collection and have space leftover. The only down side is the price, try to find sales at the holidays if you can.

This is very handy. I managed to get a lot of ornaments in it. If yo use a lot of fragile ornaments you will want more than one of these. I'm not all that impressed with the dividers (made of cardboard, and they don't really fit into the groves in the plastic) but it works and I'm overall very happy. I carry by the bottom, just in case the little clips on the lid aren't too sturdy.

Like several reviewers have said, these don't stay "together," especially if there are heavy objects in the compartments. The smaller snapware products work much better in that department. Still, I keep buying these for certain types of ornaments because I can see clearly what is in each compartment, hold quite a bit more than you think and they fit nicely on shelves. To keep them more "together," I tie them with twine (like a present....). Works for me.

After too many years of wrapping every ornament in tissue paper or putting them back in their original packaging, I decided to get this ornament box. It made "un-decorating" the tree a breeze, and now my ornaments take up less room in the attic. I did line each layer with a sheet of bubble paper so the ornaments wouldn't lay on the hard plastic, but otherwise it worked great.

I bought a bunch of them at Target and I love them. I like that they are clear so you can see what is inside and the fact that they stack well. They stay locked in place pretty well. I only gave 4 stars because they are more expensive here. I would have thought with it not being Christmas that they would have gotten cheaper not more expensive now.

I like to organize. So far,this is perfect for my Christmas Ornaments. I am interested on how well it will keep the ornament from fading since it is clear or if it will keep them from breaking any better. It doesn't fit all sizes of ornaments. You have to pick ornaments of the same general size. But you can use it for many different things other than ornaments as well.
