Sauder County Line Bookcase Headboard, Twin, Estate Black finish

I bought 2 of these. I liked how the box arrived with extra thick packaging on all the outside corners and was enveloped in shrink wrap. It was hard to open but I knew the contents inside would be safe and not damaged. We took all the pieces out and everything was accounted for. This was a first build for me with my 12 yr old son. He has shown interest in building these items so we did it together. Several times during the build we discovered we had pieces backwards. The pictures didn't explain well what was front or back. This was our biggest challenge. It was easy enough to fix what we did wrong but it was discouraging. The first build took us about 2.5 hours. The second one took maybe 1 hour with the both of us. I had one twin bed on stilts to make it tall and the headboard fit fine with no problem. the other twin bed was an average bed so no problem on attaching the headboard here too. The kids enjoyed having space to add their legos, phone, iPad and stuffed animals. The only thing we need to add is a small battery powered light they can also place there. I would recommend this.

Building this was a pain. It took me a couple of hours to do it by myself. The pieces are very heavy and hard to move around if you don't have help. My only complaint now that it's built is that there are some joiners that are visible that aren't very pretty. They are white plastic pieces that have screws in them and you tighten them until they usually crack. So there are dingy white cracked plastic things visibly holding your headboard together. But if you can get past that, it's very sturdy and nice looking. I'm not sorry I purchased it now that it's built. I wouldn't buy it again though, not unless I had someone else to build it!

Easy to assemble, matches the other furniture in the room

Looks great, easy to set up. Love the bookcase type shelves. Note, however, that it's rather heavy.. And, one person can put it together, but having a helper would be nice.

I had some shipping damage. Three places had the particle board showing. Over all though it was a great headboard. It makes my bed look much fuller and it's very convenient. Looking back I would have paid more and got real wood and not particle board.

the size is few bigger than a bed and when you install together and fall down something under the headboard you can not take it. this product need to modify and make box door under the bookshelf and match the size with the bed

Putting this together solo was honestly the worst. And the self locking screws didn't do their jobs super well. We ended up having to glue the top piece in place because it kept pulling out. The finish and end product isn't bad. A little wobbly, even after attached to the frame though.

Bought for my grandsons existing twin bed. Went together easily and he loves it. He needed something to keep is clock, books and water close to his bed. How perfect that this became a part of his bed.
