I doesn't get better than a Shoei, but there are cheaper as good.
There's no better-fitting helmet for my head, which is more round than oval. Shoei makes one of the best helmets you can buy for overall fit, finish and features like venting. The shields are easy to swap in and out and the mechanism to raise/lower the shield is solid. I've owned three Shoeis and would never buy another brand.I'll point out they're more expensive than many other helmets and as long as one of those others is DOT/Snell certified, a Shoei probably won't perform any better at protecting your head in a crash. With that in mind, I scoured the Web for a closeout (last year's graphics) and bought this one. It wouldn't be my first choice if I wanted to spend $600 that this model often sells for, but I came in at $400, which suits me fine.Helmets have a useable life of five years or so, if you want to be on the safe side.

Side view is better than the actual look
This IS a good helmet and it looks good. It's very round though and gives you the typical "astronaut" look which I don't prefer. For $400+ I would have picked some thing that's not so round. I don't regret but if I knew I pick something else

Ok helmet, you can still hear a wind obviously, but nothing that a bluetooth assembly can't handle.

Love the helmet
Love the helmet! It's the best I've ever worn. It's aerodynamics, weight, venting, visor ratchet and lock and noise levels... All of it kicks to the curb any helmet I ever owned!
