Salice 110 Degree Self Close 3/8" Lipped Face Frame Hinge, Nickel Finish Pair

The name of this product says it's for face frames, which is a bit misleading. The picture shows a block of wood attached to the inside of the cabinet. This block makes it possible to attach the hinge as if it were a faceless cabinet. So I think this is really a faceless hinge, and you need to add the block to make it work with face frames. Correct me if I'm wrong.So - how do you attach that block of wood to the inside of the cabinet? The screws provided in the package aren't long enough. The picture on Amazon shows no additional screws, hinting that glue is used. There's also no hints in the provided documentation, or anywhere on youtube, etc. Is glue strong enough? What's the recommendation from the manufacturer? If there's any experts out there, please share your knowledge here. Otherwise I think I got the wrong product based on false advertising - or- I'm ignorant of some inside know-how.
