I bought this to use in a bathroom in my apartment that is really humid. I have had it running for 4 hours now and still have yet to notice a drop in humidity. Water is collecting in the tank just slowly.Fan is not very powerful which makes lowering the humidity slower. The power adapter makes a really high pitched noise whenever the unit is on and running when off it is silent. Might just have a defective unit.The air filter is not washable or removable. The only way to clean this is with a damp or dry rag. Would be nice if the filter was removable but sadly is not.Might be returning this product but we will see.

This dehumidifier is so quiet, you can barely tell if it's running! I run it right before, during, and after taking showers. There is less fog on the mirrors, and I know in the long run that there will be fewer odors and risk for decay/mold. Very easy to fit due to its size and weight, and it looks stylish!You can also place this around sensitive materials that you wish to minimize the impact of humidity and moisture in an enclosed space.The only reason I am giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because emptying the collected water is not very streamlined. You need to pry out the plastic plug, and the seal it makes is so tight that it takes some effort to pry it loose before you can dump out the water. Still not a big deal as it only takes a few extra seconds. After a while, you get used to it.Definitely recommend this for uses in small bathrooms or kitchens or closets!

The unit is exactly as advertised. However, after 4 days of use it has removed only about 1/4 teaspoon of moisture. I don't know if this is because there is no moisture in the air in our Class B RV or if the unit is defective. I plan to move it into the bathroom and see what happens after a shower.

I knew from researching it was for a small area and so not very powerful but since I wanted it for a very small bathroom I thought it would be perfect. Not so impressed. Doesnt seem to pull out much humidity despite constant running. My expectation might be too high but given my room size, I expected better results. Might work for a half bath. Update: After seller saw my review they did offer a refund which I appreciate. As one of the other reviewers noted, it doesn't alter the review of the unit but I have to give the seller credit for proactively seeking to "right" the situation.

The seller refunded my money so I'm editing my review to make it less caustic but my opinion is the same. I put it in our 10 x15 bathroom (and it's not a palatial suite) and turned it on after a shower because even with a vented fan there's a propensity for mold to grow. This unit isn't powerful enough to pull in pull in more than a small amount of moisture from the air. I'm giving it two stars because if you have a small 3x5 closet that gets moisture for some reason, or a cabinet of some sort, maybe it will work better.

Tried to use this in a small bathroom. It got 1 oz of water out of the air in 24 hrs. I barrowed a full sized dehumidifier from a friend. I got 3/4 of a quart in 24 hrs from the same room under identical conditions for 3 weeks.

I bought this for a small room. It works great. I have to empty it about every 48 hours. The automatic shutoff when full works great also. Vewry quiet also.Disclaimer: I paid full price for this item. I have no connections with this company.Update 11/28/17 We had a good run. It finally quit working!!!! Stars reduced form 5 to 2

Wanted to let everyone know that this u it is way smaller than I expected but it works better than the large one we use I get more water from this one in 24 hours but you have to empty it often because of the small tank. I have to dump every 48 hours in this unit and the bigger one only has to be dumped around every 10 days
