That is an absolute piece of garbage. I owned an older Sytex plotter with C-Map ...
I was advised at Cabellas not to buy a raymarine product. I did any way.What a mistake!! The Jeppesen C-map essential is a joke. I tried to upgrade on line to a local detailed map, could not do it. Tried to get Raymarine tech support, They just don't answer the phone or e-mail. Got in touch with jeppesen, They sent me a "detailed" local map. That is an absolute piece of garbage. I owned an older Sytex plotter with C-Map NT, it was great, I could navigate by it, find wrecks ore any good fishing spots. This "detailed " map shows none of that. I wound up buying a Navionics chip extra $150. No instruction manual, downloaded one on line not very helpful, printed one $14.00 no screen cover ,can not find one on line,available only for a flush mount unit. I will never buy another product from Raymarine !If you are thinking of buying a raymarine dragonfly product, think again, Buy anything but this piece of crap !!

All around awesome.
I've had lorance and humminbird before. This unit blows them both away. To the user who posted about it coming with the wrong size chip, you can pull the mini chip out of the bigger chip sleeve, to use. It's simple. They send it that way so the chip fits both mini and big formats. I have no problem with screen brightness. All around awesome.

Good Display but Transducer Cable Too Short
The electronics are good. The display is clear - not as visible in sunlight as the advertising would have you believe, but acceptable. We tested it by dangling it over the side and saw what we expected to see. That part is OK What is NOT OK is that the transducer comes with a 13 foot cable. This is TOO SHORT for any but the smallest boats! I have a relatively small boat (28 ft) after running up the transom and through the cable run, the transducer cable is about four feet to short to reach the display unit mounted on the console. Now there is an extension Raymarine part A80312, but try and get one in less than a week. This is really frustrating and annoying, making what should be a two hour project stretch into a week or more.UPDATE!! The device failed completely after two years dead as a doornail. Kind of a mote point since they're no longer sold, but I was very disappointed in the quality.
