Beautiful and functional laptop lap desk. Keeps the heat away.
Bought this to replace an old plastic laptop lapdesk I had that seemed to just send the heat straight through the plastic. When I saw this beautiful product, I decided to try it out. What a beautiful item! Sleek, neat, gorgeous. It is beautiful to look at and very functional. It works wonderfully with my 13" Macbook Pro and provides a perfect fit and great heat dissipation.Does what it is meant to do and looks beautiful too.Love it.

Does what it should - but kind of expensive IMO
This mobile lapdesk does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's a very simple design, blissfully lightweight, and keeps my laptop from burning up my lap. It is also the absolute perfect size for my (13") Lenovo Yoga Pro 2. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm not altogether sure why a piece of bamboo with holes in it should cost nearly $40. Otherwise, I don't have any complaints about the product.

Splinters too easily
I wanted to love this. I've used a makeshift bamboo laptop desk before so I was excited for one specifically designed. The reason for the terrible rating is how it's crafted. The piece is solid, but the finish is terrible - it hasn't been sanded well at all. One of the vent holes has a sharp nub sticking out, and worse than that, it splinters very easily. I've used it three times and gotten a splinter twice. The splinters off the bamboo are very subtle, but painful when they lodge.I couldn't recommend it.

Would give five stars, except...
Would give it five stars except...Way too expensive for what you get. And, it's not carved from a solid sheet of bamboo, as advertised, but is actually made up of three thin sheets, glued together. It advertises also that it is sanded so smoothly as to feel like glass, but not only is this not the case, there were several places where it wasn't sanded properly, and little spikes of wood are sticking out and I got a splinter when I accidentally brushed against it - they are especially not good around the holes. My 10 year old daughter's assessment: "Well, they're right - it's like glass - broken glass". If they would have just taken the time to sand properly, it would be a great item, although totally NOT worth the amount being charged. It works as described, however, so for that reason we will keep it, but very disappointed at the quality for price, given the description...

this is the perfect product. it is well made
so, the words lightweight, portable and made from wood drew me to this product... i didn't want a bulky, hinged, plastic or metal mobile laptop desk. this is the perfect product. it is well made, fits my 13" macbook with about a half inch border to spare all the way around, the small rubbery corner buttons on the base of my laptop grip this wooden surface nicely, the multiple holes keep things cool, and the only negative thing i have to say is it's a bit pricey... $50 for a piece of wood with holes drilled in it! but hey, they include a black rubber bracelet with the environmentally friendly message: i give a damn!

Very happy with this item.. although initially thought its little bit expensive
Nice portable tray for any laptop/tablet with size between 12-14 inches.. it fit nicely below my HP Spectre (13.3") and has also allowed me to use the laptop in tablet mode without fear to scratch the keyboard side .. 100% happy with the quality of this product (&seller too!)

Exactly What I Needed
So a year ago my wife and I were leaving to travel the world, and I had just bought a new Razer Blade Laptop. I knew I needed something to protect my laptop from all kinds of sketchy and dirty surfaces I might use while traveling, and also to help the laptop stay cool. Well, this product worked perfectly, and I'm still using it right now.I also use this "Lap Desk" as the "backing" in my backpack. I put it in the backpack first, next to my back, and it creates a nice, flat, even space for the rest of the backpack and helps protect the contents and laptop a bit as well.
